Monday Motivation

Motivation, Monday's just sometimes seem to lack it. Hung over from a nice relaxing weekend or just dreading going to work and picking up all the stuff that you were so glad to leave behind on Friday. Here's a tip to help you get motivated for the week ahead.

Set your self-care goals for the week:

Far too many people start the week of with a long list of work to do's. Now while these are certainly important and should not be neglected something that's equally as important is self-care. Too often self-care is much like a life-preserver. Use only in the case of emergencies. Consider this week how you can use it as a charging station rather than a life-preserver. Set your self-care goals for the week. Those little islands of refuge that can give a drowning swimmer a much needed rest. Keep it simple and keep it manageable. Self-care does not need to be something elaborate or time consuming. Perhaps it is a simple as turning off all the electronics and sitting on the deck or patio in the cool of the evening and allowing the silence to wash out all the noise of your busy day. Or taking a relaxing bath before bed. Slowing down from the busy hustle and bustle. No matter what you choose do it strategically through the week. You will find that Monday morning is not a dreadful as you stare down another busy week.
